How it all began

We swiped right on each other and quickly hit it off. Our first date soon followed, and to our unsuspecting delight, we felt instantly at ease in each other’s company. We had so much fun together! We soon became inseparable after that, soaking in everything about each other. One of my favourite first memories was nervously telling Dan I loved Taylor Swift, only to find I’d matched with a bigger Swiftie than me!

After Dan’s embarrassment from a ‘will you be my girlfriend’ rejection, we broke it off. I told him if it was meant to be, fate would bring us back together. Coincidentally, we bumped into each other at a party in the city a few weeks later. We knew then that our story wasn’t over. This time around, I asked Dan to be my boyfriend, and shortly after, we moved in together. We have had so many moments of joy, laughter, adventure, and adversity, but all the while, our love has only grown into something that is unsurprisingly beautiful.

On October 1, 2023, Dan got down on one knee and asked the question, with, finally - the answer I should’ve given him from the start.
